All along the shoreline, tiny "peanut bunker" were being pushed up to the edge of the beach... some up and over onto the sand with each break of a wave. There were small predator fish harassing the school. I think they were little bluefish.

These "peanut bunker" are made up of herring, alewives and maybe menhaden fry.
